AEP Texas

AEP Texas Service. Safety. At AEP Texas, we believe these two words best define our company and culture. Simply put, our focus is to provide safe, reliable electricity to the more than one million homes, businesses and industries connected to our system across Texas and we always remember that they depend on us.

Our employees and their families also are connected to our communities by volunteering and serving in many different roles in the areas where we live and work. Investing in organizations that help meet the needs of the people we serve is reflective of our culture and creates a more positive place to live for everyone. Last year we did exactly that!

In 2018, AEP Texas contributions to social services and non-profit organizations totaled over $1 million. In addition, our employees and their family members donated hundreds of volunteer hours to countless organizations and community projects.

Our aim is to make the greatest impact possible by helping agencies that do work in the areas of education, serve the hungry and homeless, promote the arts and culture, preserve our environment or grow their local economies by helping attract businesses that create good paying jobs.

That’s why we proudly support organizations we believe are making a difference in the lives of our customers across the AEP Texas service area. Following are just a few examples:

Safety–National Theatre for Children safety performances at public schools; Education - San Diego High School Robotics Club, Corpus Christi Literacy Council and the Harlingen Educational Foundation; Social and Public services - Habitat for Humanity of Laredo and the Marathon Volunteer Fire Department; Arts and Culture - Art Museum of South Texas, The George West Story Fest Association, and Alcorta’s Folklorico Diamante; Environment - Kritters for Kids, The Edinburg World Birding Center and Saltwater Fisheries Enhancement Association.

In addition, by partnering with our communities, we know we can help build a better Texas by supporting economic development programs and professional centers across our service territory, which is why we invest—to help our state’s economy thrive.

At AEP Texas, we believe that going beyond the safe reliable delivery of electricity creates boundless energy--and boundless opportunities for everyone we serve.

We are AEP Texas!
